Hot new information on Sue’s state of health.

Posted by admin 9 February, 2010

Sue had a surgery last week, however her reconvalescencion has been somewhat slower than expected. She could not keep things down, so eating was impossible as well. It means Sue has to take her medications on an empty stomach which isn’t making it any better.
My wife went to visit Sue and keep her company yesterday afternoon. When she came back, she told me that Sue could get a job in the movies if she wanted. She could play Linda Blair from „the Exorcist”. Why? Well, she might not be able to turn her head 360 degrees but she definitely could fire projectiles of green vomit.
Than, before dinner, Sue called for some help and my wife went to the hospital again so I had to do mine and the kids’ dinner myself. It was around 9 p.m. that my wife came back and told me that Sue would be taken to the E.R. in order to refill her fluids and help her with the pain.
Later at night, I think it was about 11:30 p.m. my wife called the hospital to ask how is Sue doing. She found out that Sue would be admitted for the night. Not knowing that she would have to stay overnight, Sue was angry with herself for not bringing her favorite pillow along to the hospital. To help her out, the wife went to pick up Sue’s pillow and bring it to her. She got back home about 1:40 a.m.
Sue thinks that she’ll spend another night at the hospital, my wife told me that Sue promised to eat some Jell-O today. My wife will be able to check on Sue a couple of times today because she’s working at the hospital today. Even my mother is going to visit Sue this day.
You probably know of my queasy stomach from this blog, so it shouldn’t be strange for me not to want to visit Sue. It’s just that I don’t like seeing vomit, be it green or any other color. I also don’t want to give anyone ideas, such as giving me a pair of socks Sue vomited on. Once I received a pair of socks my wife had while giving birth to our daughter, that pair is more than enough for me and I really would like to avoid getting other presents like that.
If we know anything new on Sue’s condition, we’ll tell you right away. However, I’ll spare all the bloody medical details, Sue will probably want to tell all of it herself. I’d like to avoid any unnecessary gory descriptions if possible, there are some things a son-in-law doesn’t want to know or mention about his mother-in-law.
Sue is on a good way to getting better. If all goes well, the visit at the hospital will just be a little setback and Sue will recover quickly.
