Default Long term tramadol use

Hi. My name is Robert. I was prescribed Tramadol because pain disturbed my everyday life. In order to get back to normal functioning I need to take it on a daily basis. However, I am still not sure whether Tramadol will work over a long period of time. That’s why I wanted to ask you for some information. Is anyone here familiar with this drug and could tell me something about its effectiveness in the long run? I will appreciate your respond. Thanks!

I have experience with Tramadol. Considering it is a non-narcotic medicine, there should not by any dangers if you take it over a long period of time. Except one- your body may become tolerant to this drug, which means that it may not work as well as at the beginning or stop working completely. That exactly happened in my case. Why don’t you ask your doctor or pharmacist about that? I am sure they will give you satisfying answer. BTW. Read this article about tramadol

Maybe I can help. I have been taking Tramadol for six months. Let me put it this way: the longer I was using the drug the less brilliantly it worked. When I withdrew it, I felt anxious but it was just a temporary symptom. I advise you not to stop Tramadol suddenly. I am sure your doctor will give you some tips on how to withdraw gradually.

Hi. I think you should not pay so much attention to the fact that Tramadol is a non-narcotic medicine. When it comes to withdrawal , reaction is very similar to that of opiate. The truth is that Tramadol works on the same receptors as opiates do. Generally there should not be any obstacles if you want to take it over a long period of time. The golden rule is to never stop using the drug suddenly. Take care. Kathie.

Well, seems like I am most experienced with Tramadol here. Actually, I have been taking it for almost ten years. Of course, the doctor changed my dose many times during treatment. In my case, there were no problems with Tramadol, at least so far.
