Hi Ster, if I experience the pain level as yours were, I’m sure I would have cancelled my appointments and don’t move from home. Or maybe I would take a taxi or LOL pushed myself down the road in a wheelchair. I don’t know, but why have you wanted to wait a few more days before seeing the doctor? I wish you good visit and improvements. Take care. Michael

Michael thanks for your concern, I have my appt in Friday, only a few days later. Now my pain is about 6, so it’s bearable. And about this taxi thing... well it must cost a lot to go 40 miles by taxi. My pain lasts for over 30 years now, so my mind is kind of adjusted to certain pain levels even if it’s high. It’s hard for me to function in the morning until 11am and I’ve to stretched enough and had a good hot shower to start a day. I can drive then because I take my meds about 5:30am and give it time to kick in and calm it down to a lesser level. What’s more I had some injections that have calmed it down a little. I think our pains are different as we are also different so everyone seems to see his/her pain at a different way. But the shots after a few days have caused a decline in my pain and even later in the morning if I hurt I still will go, and do what I have to do. But I found that earlier than that is not the best idea. The pain is responsible for nausea and I have to wait until both decreases a little. So a few extra days is what I HAVE to do. Plus I'm going from small town towards downtown ft. Worth in heavy traffic. I’m kind of survivor and a few days don’t make too much difference for me, I have waited this long I could wait a few days more. Anyway recently I heard she doesn’t do surgical procedures like esi, scs removal, rhizotomy and so on, I started to think she will not be able to help me a lot. But I still got my hope that I could be wrong. Thinking of this idea with wheelchair is making me laugh (thanks for that) if I’m starting imagine me on the wheelchair going on the freeway... it’s great and funny. Can you see it? But as I said I never make an appointment too early. Anyway I’m waiting to Friday to see what will come up. I hope that this doc will find a way to help me even a little.

As if somebody is in pain never let him feel that.., Sometimes a hug may heal the other.. but it should be with compassion and love.. more over the words.. we speaks then will a million dollar each.. I encourage you my friends to be a bravo... no pain is greater than our will .. even though it may try to fear you but be still in your mind and heart.. I tell you, will face the victory for sure...

I feel you and your pain. No one should have to go through life in pain. I would seek a second opinion and/or talk with your doctor about other pain medicines that he can prescribe. Your doctor should be more willing to help you relieve the pains you are feeling. Many times we work through our pains and try to ignore them or think about something else but this shouldn't have to happen. There's got to be something out there that can help you and I wouldn't stop bugging your doctor until he finds the best medicine or treatment to reduce your pains. Good luck and hang in there. There's hope yet.
