Dosage

The recommended dose of Tramadol for pain management is a 50-100 mg dose each 4-6 hours, as it is needed. A treatment plan involving a dose of more than 400 mg daily is not advised for adult patients, and would need to be closely examined. For patients over the age of 75, the maximum recommended Tramadol dosage is 300 mg daily, and anything greater than this will need to be looked at closely.

Overdose: If a person overdoses, they can experience such effects as respiratory depression, lethargy, comas, epileptic seizures, heart failure or even death.

In Case Of Overdose: If you suspect you or someone you know has overdosed, get in touch with a poison control center or hospital emergency room right away. Overdose symptoms can include the following - low body temperature; slowed respiration; clammy, cold skin; lowered heartbeat; sleepiness; dizziness; lightheadedness; seizures; heavy sleep, and unconsciousness.

Missed Dose: Should you skip a dose, take it as soon as you remember to. If the time for the next dose is approaching, do not take the missed dose, but skip it and carry on with your normal dosing regime. Never double up on doses to catch up.
