6. Find comfortable positions for sitting and sleeping.
7. Quit smoking. Cigarette smokers risk atherosclerosis or hardened arteries, which may lead to lower back pain along with deterioration of spinal discs. Smokers tend to have back problems, since they are more inclined to be sedentary.

Low Back Pain: With/without sciatica
This assessment contained 24 randomized controlled trials or RCT, and over two thousand sufferers of various degrees of low back pain, some with sciatica and some without.
